Use the slider to reveal how Oracle Magazine and Java Magazine, built on the same codebase, adapt their layouts to cater to distinct audiences: a traditional magazine format for Oracle and Profit, and a developer-focused experience for Java Magazine.
Oracle Magazine and Profit Magazine leverage a more traditional magazine format, incorporating visuals like images, pull quotes, and graphics to enhance the reading experience.
The Java Magazine layout differs from its siblings, prioritizing a developer-centric experience. Key features include a dedicated sidebar for annotations and additional context, a navigation pane for easier content discovery, and a reduced emphasis on imagery resulting in a layout optimized for technical content consumption.
A side-by-side comparison of the Oracle Magazine, Profit Magazine, and Java Magazine homepages. By combining key brand elements with user-centered design principles informed by in-depth editor interviews, I created distinct yet cohesive digital experiences tailored to each magazine’s unique audience.
